Tech firm Audodesk has released a new design app allowing kids to create their own 3D printable toys.

In a bid to bring 3D printing closer to the consumer, the new app called Tinkerplay let kids design toys or figures from scratch or a series of character templates.

Available to download now for Android, iOS and Windows Phone, Tinkerplay lets users create files of their final designs, which can then be taking to online services such as Shapeways and turned into 3D printed products.
