11 shops to launch Turtles toys a week early

Fans can also get their hands on special limited edition Night Shadow Leonardo figure.

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys have an official UK launch date of December 1st, but selected retailers will be launching the action figures and play-sets one week early this weekend.

As part of the promotion Turtle fans could get their hands on a special limited edition Night Shadow Leonardo figure.

So far the identitys of most of the shops are a mystery, but ToyNews has learned that The Entertainer in Staines and Starlings Toymaster in Bury St Edmunds will be participating.

Starlings will open at 7.30am and is challenging kids to dress up as Turtles and the best ones will be in with a chance of winning the the limited edition Leos.


Only 1,500 of the limited edition Leonardo action figures have been produced for the UK.

Speaking to the Bury Free Press Ian Pummel, store manager of Starlings in Bury St Edmunds, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled to be chosen as one of ten retailers around the UK to launch the Turtles toy range.

"We foresee the fantastic collection being a huge seller for us this Christmas. We’re incredibly excited about our exclusive event and would like to see as many fans as possible Turtle-up as their favourite ninja and join in the fun while taking advantage of being able to buy the toys early."

The Entertainer has tweeted that its Staines store will be opening its doors early on Saturday 24th. Check the poster:
