Warner readying Lego film?

The Hollywood Reporter says Warner has optioned the rights to make a film based on the Lego brand.

Warner Bros and producer Dan Lin have acquired theatrical rights for a film based on the classic construction toy brand.

The live action/CG animated project is described as set in the world of Lego, focusing on the idea of a child-like imagination and examining creativity and teamwork in a similar way to Toy Story.

The script is currently being penned by writers Dan and Kevin Hageman.
