The new recruits bring the total to 545 and the brand relations director Michael McNally has said Lego is still looking for new staff in human relations, sales and marketing, supply chain management and operations.
US sales for the company have increased for six consecutive years, and in 2010, Lego exceeded $1 billion sales in the territory for the first time.
"You can imagine that translates to needing back office support," said McNally.
Lego has recently converted one of its former 125,000 square feet manufacturing buildings into offices, which is where the new employees will be based.
The new building houses offices, meeting spaces, a customer service call centre which is expected to be staffed by as many as 100 employees during the busiest times of the year and a revamped model shop.
The building also includes a test store, where employees will experiment with prototypes for retail displays, window features, materials and in-store events.
