Trunki partners with Aardman for PaddlePak app

Trunki has teamed up with Aardman Animations to create the toy firm's first app.

The free download is an underwater adventure featuring characters from the PaddlePak range and aach character has five levels with each one unlocking an excluisve sticker for the Trunki passport.

“We had such an overwhelming response to the advert from both adults and children that we decided to make it interactive," said Penny Amey, brand manager for Trunki.

"We wanted to create something that was fun, educational, and completely free. Our research showed parents were becoming increasingly concerned about ‘in-app purchases’ so we chose to make an app that parents could trust, which is why we worked with Aardman. They know how to communicate with children (and adults) better than anyone.”

The app is aimed at children aged between three and six year olds and is designed to help with numeracy and hand-eye coordination.

This is Trunki’s first digital release but the firm already has another in the pipeline.
