Peter Jenkinson, aka The Toyologist, is seeking six toy testers 'to give the latest gear the once over'.

The chosen Toyminators will receive the first batch of goodies before the end of the school holidays.

Peter Jenkinson, editor of, said: "We've seen similar programs before but never one which gave toy testers the chance to have such an important role and influence, it's one of the reasons we chose the term Toyminator, plus, they'll be asked to give all the toys a good going over.

"This isn't just a great summer job, we'll be using our testers right through until the end of 2012 and beyond."

Heroica, the new Lego board game brand, will be the first to be put through its paces.

Peter added: "We're really excited that Heroica is the first toy for our group to test, its the latest in a ground-breaking new genre of toys from Lego and everyone will be keen to hear and be entertained by the opinions of these merciless Toyminators."

Justin Clasby, Lego UK Games brand manager said: "We're always on the look-out for honest feedback and thoughts from our fans and I think that the chosen kids will be on the ball when it comes to letting us know what they do and don't like."
