Superheroes help Rubie's hit record sales

Batman and more help make September the biggest month ever for the firm.

Fancy dress specialist Rubie’s has announced record UK sales for September.

September was the biggest in the company’s history, with Batman, Disney Princess, Marvel Superheroes and Star Wars lines selling strongly.

Rubie’s is now forecasting a record-breaking year, which is set to be the firm’s 15th consecutive year of growth. It has pumped a ‘significant investment’ into Q4 TV advertising and new lines will launch shortly, including Skylanders.

Chris Isitt, VP for EMEA & Australia, said: "Everybody in the UK business has worked fantastically hard to help achieve this brilliant result.”
