Home Sheep Home 2 sees characters from TV's Shaun the Sheep - Shirley, Timmy and Shaun - playing lost sheep.

The game features a trilogy of episodes: 'Lost Underground', 'Lost in London' and 'Lost in Space'. Players must overcome a variety of puzzle challenges to see that Shaun and friends make it home safe.

Released by Angry Birds and Cut the Rope publisher Chillingo, the game will be available on the App Store for 69p in the new year. For Shaun fans who can't wait, a PC version is available now at homesheephome2.com

Lorna Probert, Head of Aardman Digital said: "We have produced Home Sheep Home 2 with the same attention to detail and love that you would expect from an Aardman production.

"The game has beautiful hand-painted backdrops, endearing character animations, original music and of course a generous sprinkling of the famous Aardman humour for which our studio is known and loved the world over. After 10 months in development, we’re incredibly excited about the launch of this game and we believe that it has the potential to build on the phenomenal success of the original."

The original Home Sheep Home has accumulated over 109 million plays to date.
