Scholastic extends publishing deal with LEGO through to 2019

New products will include movie tie-in novels as well as the first ever LEGO pop-up book.

Scholastic has extended its publishing relationship with LEGO through to 2019.

The new deal includes all language rights, as well as several new line extensions, and acquisitions.

The companies have developed a line of non-fiction books that will see LEGO minifigures introduce fun facts combined with real-world photos.

Scholastic will also publish the first-ever LEGO Pop-Up, by bestselling and award-winning paper engineer Matthew Reinhart.

Set to be published in September 2016, the 3D book details a road trip through the different LEGO universes, both past and present.

Scholastic will also publish movie tie-in books in a variety of formats based on LEGO feature films.
