Games and puzzles specialist Jumbo is adding five new flavours to its iPieces range this autumn/winter.

The popular pre-school properties Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam are the first licences to join iPieces and are complemented by classic titles including Ludo and Pool.

iPieces has received multiple awards since hitting shelves at the end of 2011. It was named a Top 5 Gadget Show Live Kids Gadget at Toy Fair 2012, and the range recently won Best Games App at the prestigious Junior Design Awards, as well as silver for Best Children’s App and bronze for Best Family App in the Loved By Parents Awards. iPieces has also been shortlisted for an award by parenting magazine Right Start.

Using interactive counters iPieces allow up to six players to play family favourite board games on the iPad.

Speaking to ToyNews, Gray Richmond, managing director of Jumbo Games said: “The response to iPieces since winning three awards has been overwhelming, so we were keen to extend the portfolio and offer our customers even more games to enjoy.

“We’re really thrilled with the latest additions, which offers something for everyone in the family. Games such as Ludo and Pool will enable us to target the slightly older pre-teen and adult market whilst Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam will be the first in our range of licensed iPieces for younger children.”

The current range consists of Air Hockey, Fishing Game, Snakes & Ladders and Game of Goose.
