Nintendo promises 'exciting' new Pokemon toys

Forthcoming 3D games will the be blueprint for an 'exciting array' of new toys and trading cards.

Yesterday Nintendo teased the release of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

The next titles in the monsterously successful gaming franchise will be the first to feature full 3D Poke-battles, and will also "be the blueprint for an exciting array of new animation, Pokémon TCG, and toys debuting around the world."

No further details are available on the forthcoming toy lines.

Is it possible that the new toys could feature somekind of Skylanders-style interactive tech? Such a move, if executed correctly, would undoubtedly yeild incredible sales.
