LEGO unveils first ever Olympic and Paralympic mascot builds

The releases are inspired by the two characters selected to embody the ethos of the upcoming events in Rio this year, Vinicius and Tom.

For the first time in the firm’s history, LEGO is releasing a line of building sets inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic mascots.

The new releases will be inspired by the two characters selected to embody the ethos of the upcoming events in Rio this year, Olympics mascot Vinicius and his Paralympic partner, Tom.

Named after two icons of Brazilian music, Vinicius de Moraes and Tom Jobim, the pair have beomce popular figures across the country in the run up to the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The two builds consist of 197 pieces in total and are suitable for children aged seven and upwards.
