Prior to the Lego Games launch in August, Newsround were given unprecedented access to the secret Concept Lab at Lego HQ in Denmark.

In the visit, a first for the company, the journalist explored the lab where the Lego Games range was conceived and developed over 18 months behind closed doors.

The programme also interviewed the creative lead on the range, Cephas Howard, to gain an insight into the family-based research carried out during the early months.

The Newsround piece came in a week when Lego Games were heralded by Hamleys as one of their Top Ten Toys for Christmas, with coverage appearing across major news channels and national press and also as the company celebrated being the only Toy or Game company in this year’s Superbrands Top Ten listing.
