The LEGO Duplo brand rounded off 2014 in style, having garnered no less than eight prestigious parenting awards across its portfolio of products.

After rigorous testing from industry experts, peers and parents, the pre-school brand was celebrated for its emphasis on educational benefits and lay value.

Leading the brigade in the awards stakes was Duplo’s Creative Animals, which managed to scoop Gold in the Toy/Game Toddler category of the Mumi Awards as well as a Consumer Choice Award.

The line also took home Gold in the Loved by Children Awards for Best Construction Toy One to Three Years and Silver for Best Stimulative Toy; Gold in the Toddler Toy One to Three Years category of the Prima Baby and Pregnancy Awards; Bronze in the pre-school category of the ToyTesters.TV Awards and a Highly Commended in the Best Toy design Three to Five Years category of the junior Design Awards.

Meanwhile, duplo’s Creative Picnic was awarded a Mums Love Awards by Babyworld.co.uk, while the Big Royal Castle scooped a Silver in the Best toddler 24 Months Plus category of the Mother and baby Awards 2015.

Completing the line-up of accolades, Duplo has also been shortlisted in the Bounty Mums Love Awards for Best Preschool Toy Brand. Winners are yet to be announced.

“It has been another fantastic year for Duplo and we are thrilled to have been recognised in so many awards, particularly those voted by parents,” said LEGO Duplo brand manager, Genelle Holton.

“It’s a ringing endorsement for the brand and great to see the educational benefits and play value of our toys are being acknowledged.”
