The eBook, Humf is a Furry Thing, is available via a link on Igloo Books’ homepage or directly from the iTunes app store. It can be viewed on an iPad and iPhone only and costs £1.99 for the iPad and £1.49 for the iPhone.
"We are very excited with the new release of the apps. It’s an amazing step for Igloo to get into the digital era," said Tom Sarson, digital manager, Igloo Books.
Igloo currently offers a range of books based on Humf and as part of its drive to move into the digital book world, is releasing this app in partnership with eOne Entertainment, which holds the rights to Humf.
The app was developed in collaboration with the Firsty Group. CEO of Firsty, Darin Brockman, said: "We’re very proud to add Humf to the growing list of popular apps we have produced for publishers over the past year."
Coming up, Igloo Books have three more eBook titles ready to be released: Humf and his Favourite Book, Humf and the Tickle Monster and Humf and the Balloon. One of these titles will be launched before Christmas, the other two in the New Year.
The app can be downloaded here on the iTunes store.
Igloo is also developing several titles for release on Amazon’s Kindle device.
