Hasbro Gaming has revealed a first look at the results of a new partnership forged between the global toy giant and MGA Entertainment, arriving in the shape of LOL Surprise Monopoly.
First hinted to at this year’s Hong Kong Toy Fair by MGA Entertainment’s CEO Isaac Larian and revealed by Hasbro’s head Brian Goldner, the licensed board game was first detailed by Popsugar Family.
Everything you’d expect from such a collaboration, the LOL Surprise twist on the classic board game sees six tokens arrive in blind bag packaging, while the game itself is adorned in LOL Surprise artwork.
The game is tipped to be available for retailers this spring. It follows other recently revealed licensed versions of the popular Hasbro game that include HBO’s Game of Thrones, Nintendo’s Mario Kart ad Epic Games’ Fortnite.
MGA's Larian commented on the new reveal on social media, stating: "LOL Surprise Monopoly is here. Brian Goldner, your team did a very nice job. Thank you."
The company CEO couldn't miss the chance to have a dig at long time rival company, Mattel in what has become a notorious social media campaign taken up by the executive, posing the question as to whether Mattel's own Ynon Kriez would consider a LOL licensed Uno.
