Hasbro has lifted the lid on its new Marvel Avengers: Infinity War Hero Vision Iron Man AR Experience ahead of this year’s New York Toy Fair.

While the title of the product may be a mouthful, the AR experience promises to be a nifty bit of development for the global toy maker, working in tandem with with a smart phone and companion Android or iOS app.

Kids can don the Iron Man gauntlet and slip their smartphone in to the mask which via the app will create an AR overlay of enemies and bases around each player.

Users can create their own levels by putting included AR markers around the room. The app looks for these markers and uses them as indicators of where to place enemy bases. The goal is to take down all enemies and, ultimately, Thanos.

Kids target enemies by raising their hand and pointing it at whatever they want to destroy.

The new Iron Man AR experience will provide ‘several hours’ of gameplay with ten set levels to work through and mandatory breaks built in. After ten minutes of play, or after they reach level three, they have to take the phone out of the mask to customise their armour.

Hasbro has detailed that the app doesn’t require Bluetooth of WiFi connection, meaning no user data is collected.

The whole package will be released this spring for $49.99. Hasbro has no immediate plans to sell additional levels, but users can buy physical infinity stones to change their powers.
