FireStar Toys shortlisted in Nectar Small Business Awards 2013

Specialist collectable LEGO website will win £2,000 if successful.

Elstree-based specialist website FireStar Toys has been shortlisted in the Nectar Business Small Business Awards 2013.

Judged by a panel of experts, including leading business woman and The Apprentice star Karren Brady, if successful FireStar Toys will win £2,000 cash and 50,000 Nectar points, as well as the title of Small Business of the Year.

Founder Paul Charalambous will also be invoted to the Nectar Business Round Table event, which will take place in September, where he will meet and get business advice from Brady.

FireStar Toys is a specialist website with a passion for LEGO collectables.

"I'm delighted to be shortlisted in the Nectar Business Small Business Awards," said Charalambous. "I am so proud of our achievements and, as with most small businesses, we have been faced with many challenges along the way, so to receive national recognition is amazing and makes all the hard work worth it.

"The £2,000 prize money would be put towards marketing materials such as business cards and branded shorts, and the 50,000 Nectar points would be very useful in keeping the office biscuit tin topped up."
