Of 500 children surveyed by Dubit, 32 per cent said they owned licensed toys from BBC's Doctor Who.

The next most popular was Spongebob Squarepants, with 29 per cent of children owning the character’s product.

Almost Naked Animals was named as the most desirable brand without a toy line, with more children saying they would like to own toys from the show than any other.

However, since Dubit’s research the Lisle International property has been picked up by Character, with a toy line due in autumn 2012.

The next most popular show without a toy line was Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
