33 years later, Sylvanian Families gets its own Netflix series

After delighting children for 33 years, Sylvanian Families will be coming to life on screen for its own video series on YouTube and Netflix. 

Children will be able to watch the adventures of the Sylvanian characters in CGI, which will give a fresh outlook to the heritage doll house brand. 

As well as being available to watch on YouTube there are also exclusive animated episodes available on Netflix from November 2018.

There will be a series made up of 12 mini episodes lasting three minutes each alongside two longer stories. The Treasure of Sylvanian Village will be 22 minutes long and will follow the families living in the traditional village setting.

Another longer episode A Town of Dreams, lasts 11 minutes and will follow characters in the Sylvanian Town, coinciding with the launch of the Sylvanian Town range of toys in Spring 2018.

The episodes will follow the adventures of Freya Chocolate and her friends Ralph Walnut, Tiffany Go Lightly and Melinda Cake Bread.

The episodes will first launch in English before becoming available in other languages from December.

Netflix is now available in 190 countries with over 125 million subscribers.
