Zimpli Kids is taking yet another step in the march towards sustainability in the toy space, having joined the On-Pack Recycling Label scheme.

Its initiation into the scheme means that all Zimpli Kids’ boxes will have consistent on-pack guidelines to make it clear to customers how the packaging can be recycled.

The OPRL Scheme aims to deliver a simple, consistent and UK-wide recycling message on retailer and brand packaging to help consumers recycle more material correctly. The branding is recognisable, with a average of seven in every ten consumers relating to the labelling.

Zimpli Kids has highlighted sustainability as a ‘hugely important factor’ to its manufacturing and product roll out. It has highlighted its own commitment to reducing its environmental impact. It recently declared its Gelli Baff, Slime Baff and ‘just add water’ bath time range as fully degradable.

Sales director at Zimpli Kids, Eejay Enyi, said: “Joining the OPRL scheme really demonstrates that we take recycling and the careful use of resources seriously.

“It mans that we can support our customers to make the right environmental choices when disposing our boxes.”
