Next month's American International Toy Fair is expected to be the larget toy trade show ever held in North America, according to the Toy Industry Association (TIA).
The show has now surpassed a record breaking 400,000 net square feet of exhibit space at New York's newly renovated Jacob K Javits Conention Center.
The expanded show floor is expected to welcome an upswing in attendees: in December, total registration was up ten per cent over the same period in 2012, buyer registration was up six per cent year to date and international buyer attendance was up 18 per cent.
In total, the TIA is projecting 30,000 visitors from February 16th to 19th.
Total licensor registration is also up ten per cent over the same time last year, with big names attending including Disney, Warner Bros., Sony, Nickelodeon and WWE among others.
"Whether you are looking to broker lucrative business deals, network with peers from around the world, take in the hottest toy trends or participate in business building seminars, Toy Fair is the place to be for anyone with a stake in the magical world of toys and play," said Carter Keithley, TIA president.
