This April, the Toy Trust is inviting the toy industry to showcase their baking prowess with its brand new initiative for 2015: the Toy Trust Big Cake Bake.
From Monday, April 13th to Friday, April 17th, the Toy Trust hopes to see companies put homemade cakes on sale to raise money for the industry’s charity.
Companies are encouraged to host their own cake bakes on a date and time which suits them, but are asked for this to be within the designated event dates to celebrate this new event together.
The Toy Trust will also be presenting the inaugural toy industry Cupcake Awards, crowning the industry’s first baking champion.
2015 categories for the first ever Cupcake Awards are as follows:
- Best Licence-inspired – industry led licences
- It’s All About The Kids – any children’s party would be proud to have them
- Here Comes Summer – summer inspired
- Chocolate Heaven – white, dark and milk chocolate creations
- Best of British – Flavours or styles that represent all that’s great about the British Isles
To be eligible for an award, the Toy Trust requires all entrants to submit photos of their bakes, preferably by Twitter but you can send them to Matt Jones by email.
Individuals and companies can follow @TheToyTrust on Twitter and use the hashtag #toytrustbigbakeoff during the event week to share stories, pictures and fundraising efforts.
The Toy Trust has uploaded to the website all the key information participating companies will need to take part, along with a downloadable poster that can be shared with colleagues digitally and put up around the office.
