The Toy Trust will raise money for charity under the 'Special Bikes for Special Kids' banner next year.

It will donate specially adapted bikes and trikes for special needs children across the UK. The aim is to raise £100,000 to fund 80 bikes.

“Our Round the Isle Of Wight Bike Ride next June has nearly 130 participants signed up already with an aim to raise £100,000 to fund these special bikes and trikes, which will be a very practical and joyful addition to the lives of special needs children and their families," said Nick Austin, Toy Trust Chair.

"After the success of this year’s Malawi Orphanage appeal we wanted to find a UK based children’s charity for this year’s appeal, and Special Bikes for Special Kids seemed a perfect fit with inspiring images of successful British Paralympics cyclists still so clear in our minds."

You can sign up for the Toy Trust 70 mile Round the Isle Of Wight Bike Ride on Saturday, June 8th 2013 by contacting Matt Jones at the BTHA on 020 7701 7127 or at
