The Toy Trust - in conjunction with Tomy UK - has set up an online giving website for companies and individuals to make donations to the aid appeal for Japan, following the earthquake and tsunami last month.

The body is urging toy companies to show their support - and will make the first donation of £10,000.

Simply click here to go to the page to make a donation.

"The Toy Trust will make the first donation of £10,000 and would urge everyone in the industry to make a contribution, however big or small, to support the campaign," said Nick Austin, chair of the Toy Trust.

"We hope to be able to donate a minimum of £25,000 before Easter, but need everyone's support to reach and surpass this goal. Our first anonymous donor has just pledged £2,000 so hopefully everyone else will get involved and support this important appeal."

The website will stay open until Easter.
