Toy Fair 2016 is already 86 per cent sold out, the BTHA has confirmed, with a large number of new applications waiting to be allocated stands.
Despite the change of dates, the re-booking rate for 2016 currently stands at 75 per cent, with big name firms including LEGO, Vivid, Character Options, Flair, Golden Bear, Spin Master and Bandai among others all returning for another year.
"In a year of change, some exhibitors have found the logistics more difficult to organise than others, and that was to be expected with the two shows so close together," explained Majen Immink, head of Toy Fair operations and sales. "Having said that, we have had an incredibly positive response from the vast majority of exhibitors and have been pleasantly surprised by the number of new companies wishing to join the show - the upside of the date difficulties is that we actually have space for them this year."
Mary Wood, marketing director at Vivid, added: "London Toy Fair is a pivotal event for us as a showcase for all our stakeholders. Being so close to Nuremberg has certainly made things more challenging logistically, but we are committed to making 2016 our best Toy Fair yet.
"We have a new larger location, allowing us to bring all three divisions - Toy, Crayola and Drumond Park - under one Vivid umbrella."
Immink continued: "The BTHA values creating a professional show with buzz and excitement for the whole of the UK toy industry and these figures are a positive reflection of the continuous support for Toy Fair year on year. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to another thriving show."
Toy Fair 2016 will run from Sunday, January 24th to Tuesday, January 26th at Olympia, London.
