The event will start and finish on Saturday June 5th 2010 and will commence at 11am and finish by 4pm.
The Toy Trust is looking for 24 teams, which can be made up of any number of people preferably between four and ten. Each team member will be required to raise £500 in sponsorship.
The Triathlon consists of a 25km cycle ride, a 5km run and a 500m raft build and race.
Not all team members have to compete in any of the events but it is recommended that at least four take part in the raft race (maximum of ten.) If a team does not have four members, it can combine with another team to make the minimum number. The time completed will be allocated to each team's overall score.
There will be a number of prizes for the fastest time during the run and cycle ride with a team prize for the fastest raft.
There will also be an overall team prize, for the fastest combined time across all three events.
To make things a little more interesting the raft race must have a character from the toy industry on board. This may be as a mannequin or dressed team members.
The costume character could be a sponsorship opportunity, with licensors paying for their characters to be represented.
Each contestant will be responsible for their own equipment and/or bike (these can also be hired at Whitwell.) All the equipment will be supplied for you to build a raft and there will be marshals on hand both on shore and in the water for your safety. Life jackets are required and provided.
All the events will start and finish at the Whitwell Leisure Park where there is a large car park for all contestants and supporters. Teams should aim to arrive by 10.30am.
A full sponsor pack is available and will include bike hire details, how to prepare for the day, methods of sponsorship and details of how to register at the Virgin sponsorship website.

A meeting will be held at the Olympia Toy Fair Thursday morning 10am so that any questions can be answered and to introduce the teams.
This year’s location is a great social venue so families, friends and colleagues are invited to cheer on the teams. For spectators there will be a Hog Roast, an opportunity to hire bikes for a fun ride, a woodland walk, supervised rock climbing and areas for picnics. There are also many local pubs serving food nearby.
