Meroncourt joins Toymaster

Established IT distributor embraces licensed toy ranges; wants to become a "premier supplier".
Publish date:

IT and games specialist distributor Meroncourt has moved into the toy market.

The firm says it has heavily expanded its range of toys over the past six months and sees it becoming 'a significant part of its business moving forward'. It has also become a member of Toymaster.

The majority of its ranges are licensed, including Hello Kitty, Ben 10, Moshi Monsters and many more.

Meroncourt's website includes a wide variety of toys and gifts, with categories such as kids' watches, arts and crafts, gifts and toys and licensed merchandising to name a few.

Meroncourt Europe sales director Steve Walsh told ToyNews: "We moved into electronic toys two years ago. This was a natural progression from our traditional product portfolio of IT products.

"Toys has offered us an increase in turnover and customer base whilst giving us incremental growth with many existing customers. We see the toy market as becoming more dominant for us over the next several years with us creating a toy-only division.

"We aim to bring the same high quality service and back up to the toy market in the same way we did to IT when the company started 20 years ago.

"We hope to build our reputation to become a premier supplier of a much wider range in years to come."
