ICTI Care Foundation has detailed a rebrand as the company looks to keep up with the changing landscape of responsible sourcing.

From January 2018, the outfit will go by the name of ICTI Ethical Toy program and will unveil the next generation of it programme with an updated mission and strategy, as well as a new look.

ICTI will be investing to deliver enhancements and updates to its certification and audit programme, a new membership model to deepen its engagement with brands, increased training and support for factories and more programmes to engage workers and enhance their well-being.

‘Today, the responsible sourcing landscape is changing. Toy manufacture is more globalised, toys themselves are more diversified, industry expectations are evolving and regulation and legislation are strengthening,’ read a statement from the firm.

‘Our updated strategy is focused on delivering the industry engagement, responsible sourcing tools, training and support necessary to respond to these challenges and opportunities – our new programme name and refreshed branding embodies our dedication to responsible toy sourcing.’

The refreshed branding, including new name and new website, will be rolled out from January 2018, when its new membership model for brands and retailers will also be available.

Work to update its Audit Checklist and Star Ratings is ongoing and will be launched in summer next year.
