Fast-growing distributor The In Thing will supply retail with new range of Angry Birds products in July, ToyNews can reveal.

These include at least eight new novelty stationery goods, including erasers, stationery sets and Plush Fingers which can be fired from pens or pencil tops.

The In Thing also supports Character Options’ Angry Birds toys on a sub-distribution basis.

“It’s a very exciting licence, the world’s most downloaded app game and it’s what kids are playing with nowadays,” The In Thing MD Paul Jackson told ToyNews.

“The product is priced right and it’s going to sell.”

The Angry Birds games by Rovio have been downloaded 1bn times worldwide to date.

The In Thing bills itself as a specialist of pocket money products, and distributes toys in the popular Moshi Monsters and Skylanders franchises to independent retail.

Check next month’s issue of ToyNews for the full interview with Paul Jackson.
