This Friday (July 6th) will see 135 toy industry executives from over 20 companies begin the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the Toy Trust.
At 5.30pm, the team of climbers - which includes execs from Lego, Re:creation, Vivid, Flair, Toymaster, Esdevium, Character and Hornby among many others - will start to ascend Snowdon. Then, it's on to Scafell Pike, which will be climbed in the dark, before heading to Ben Nevis for the final climb, with the aim of finishing by 5.30pm on Saturday July 7th.
The aim is to raise £100,000 to build and run an orphanage in Malawi.
"The response from the toy industry is truly inspiring, as are the levels of commitment shown by all 135 people to training and fundraising," said Nick Austin, organiser of the challenge and Toy Trust chair. "With less than a week to go before the event we stand at £98,000 raised so please, please sponsor somebody if you haven't done so already - it is for a brilliant cause."
