Buyer attendance up for Fall Toy Preview

More than 700 buyers head to Dallas; global participation jumps nearly ten per cent.

The Toy Industry Association's Fall Toy Preview 2012 saw a jump in attendance from buyers across the world, the organiser has reported.

More than 700 buyers headed to Dallas, Texas for the show - which run from October 2nd to 4th. This marked a three per cent increase in total buyers. In addition, foreign buyer attendance grew nine per cent year to year.

The top five countries represented by buyers were Canada, the UK, Mexico, Australia and Hong Kong.

More than 340 retail outlets (up four per cent) were in attendance, while a record breaking 348 companies exhibited their latest product lines in open, closed to combination booths and showrooms.

"Many exhibitors on the show floor reported being booked with back to back buyer appointments and were abuzz with the positive feedback they were receiving," said Marian Bossard, TIA VP of meetings and events. "Additionally, increased attendance numbers across nearly all categories made for a dynamic, energetic crowd of people who were there to conduct serious business over the course of the three-day show."

The 2013 Fall Toy Preview will be held from October 1st to 3rd.
