What part will you play?

The primary purpose of the role is to protect the intellectual properties of Warner Bros. through consistently enforcing legal policies and established guidelines.

Review product featuring any Warner Bros. owned properties and third-party owned properties, within a contractually stipulated time-frame in the following areas: character likeness; legal copyright/trademark information; Warner Bros.’ policies and brand management. Additionally, helps to drive revenue into Warner Bros. Consumer Products by working with Sales to ensure that licensees produce compelling product that sells at retail.

Work with submissions from multiple categories of product, i.e., giftware, house wares, toys, apparel, accessories, publishing, and promotions.

Utilize extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process and Warner Bros. Consumer Products policies and procedures, in order to provide meaningful, detailed comments on the concept, pre-production and final samples submitted by licensees and partners. Submission items include but are not limited to product, packaging, marketing materials, (commercials, sell sheets, websites), promotions, and POP/POS, which serve as a legal record under the contract with the licensee.

Provide a one-on-one relationship with licensee counterpart, as well as the licensee designers (artists, sculptors, etc.) to ensure understanding and a smooth working approval process.

Work with Management to protect trademarks/copyrights and obtains all necessary third party approvals from Senior Management, Sister Divisions, Legal, internal WBCP Divisions, and other third parties.

Participate in regular staff meetings and all pertinent interdepartmental and licensee meetings.

Provide the team with necessary data and statistics to ensure that other departments have accurate and auditable records on which to base royalty payments.

Assist in general office clerical work such as typing, filing, answering phones, color copying, photographing product, etc.

What do we require from you?

· Proven experience within the area of Brand Assurance or equivalent job experience. Retail, merchandising, art development, or overseas manufacturing/ sourcing experience is beneficial.

· Fluency in French is required.

· Ability to demonstrate experience of acquiring and working with copyrights and trademarks for use in product approval.

· Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat preferred.

· Must have the ability to learn the various properties and distinguish different styles of art from others in order to accurately process submissions.Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, inside and outside of the organization.
