Our client is a privately owned UK toy manufacturer with leading character licenses. The company develops bespoke ranges in categories including toys, games, arts & crafts, stationery, bags, pocket money and novelty items. Under new ownership and management there will be expansion into new categories, development of own intellectual property and further market penetration. To help implement the ambitious growth plan a National Account Manager Digital and Discount Channels is to be recruited.
The NAM will actively contribute to the development of the business strategy for digital and discount channels and manage selected channels including planning, budgeting and promotional execution. He/ she will be responsible for achieving all targets including sales, profit margins and net cash whilst adhering to company guidelines and policies. The role requires at least 5 years successful experience as sales executive in the UK toy industry managing digital, catalogue and ideally discount channels, excellent strategic sales skills, successful negotiation skills and high level communication skills. Experience in the arts & craft category would be a plus.
Suitable candidates will have very good interpersonal skills, the ability to build good and effective relationships quickly and efficiently at all levels, someone who is dynamic, positive, highly motivated and organized.
The position reports to the Sales director UK and there are no reports to this position. The company is based in Northwest England and the NAM will be expected to work there one day a week on average and otherwise from home when not visiting customers. Remuneration will be determined by the market, to ensure a highly competent person is recruited.
