Our client is an established privately owned US based educational toy and learning product manufacturer whose EMEA & I operation is based in the UK. There is extensive scope for increased international expansion in retail & online markets and a new Head of Sales is to be recruited to drive business growth in this area. The Head of Sales is also responsible for the execution of the company\u2019s sales strategy for retail, educational and online markets in the UK and internationally.\r\n\r\nKey to success in this role will be the acquisition of major retail (brick & mortar and online) customers in Europe, leading and mentoring the sales team, participating in cross-functional strategic planning, and working with the Amazon team to deliver strong growth for the business. The role requires extensive industry knowledge, excellent strategic sales skills, high level communication skills, successful negotiation skills, experience in monitoring performance and budgets, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Operations, and US colleagues.\r\n\r\nSuitable candidates will have at least 10 years account management and international experience selling direct to retailers in Europe, including etailers. They will have worked in a senior sales manager role with international responsibility. Complete fluency in English is a must and additional language(s) are a plus.\r\n\r\nThe position reports to the Managing Director and will have a team of six UK and international sales and sales administration people reporting to it. The Head of Sales EMEA could work from the office in the East of England or from a home office in the UK or Europe with good flight connections.
