Exploding Kittens appoints Jed Paulson as Chief Commercial Officer

Exploding Kittens, the hit tabletop game creator, has named Jed Paulson as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Paulson joins Exploding Kittens with over 20 years of experience leading digital marketing, e-commerce and technology for multiple global retail companies, including Rad Power Bikes, eBay, Free People, REI, Aritzia, and more.

“Exploding Kittens has been a leader in bringing party games and laughter into homes around the world, including mine,” says Paulson. “Joining this dynamic team of driven and talented creatives is inspiring and I’m looking forward to introducing Exploding Kittens’ games to new groups of families and friends.”

As CCO of Exploding Kittens, Paulson will oversee the commercial strategies of both the company’s direct-to-consumer site and retail partner relationships. Working in partnership with Exploding Kittens President Carly McGinnis and the entire team, Paulson will elevate Exploding Kittens’ digital marketing development to continue increasing game sales worldwide.

“Jed has an impressive track record of accelerating growth and strategic development for some of the brands we look up to,” says McGinnis. “We created this position to focus on expanding our footprint and increase our growth, and Jed is the right person to enhance our presence worldwide.”

A proven business operator, Paulson most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Rad Power Bikes, North America’s largest electric bike brand, where he oversaw all revenue-related functions as well as marketing and information technology.

Prior to that, Paulson was the Chief Digital Officer at The Riveter, a female-focused coworking business with a thriving digital community, where he was responsible for member growth, engagement and technology. He has also served as Senior Vice President, Digital, at Aritzia, overseeing digital transformation and e-commerce, Vice President, Digital at REI, leading the e-commerce business, and Director of Marketing and e-commerce at Free People.
