Tonies marks World Book Day with Gruffalo giveaway and four new titles

This Thursday 3 March, children around the world will be dressing up as their favourite characters from their most-loved books to mark World Book Day. To celebrate, children’s audio speaker system tonies is adding four new characters to its extensive family of Tonies. It will also be marking the day with an exciting competition and prizes to be won through its social channels.

Parents can head to the Tonies instagram page, @tonies_uk, for details on how to win a batch of  Gruffalo goodies. The ‘Gruffalo Giveaway’ comprises a Mini Micro Deluxe Gruffalo Scooter, Lunch Bag, Toniebox Gruffalo bundle, and more.

Favourite Tales: Little Red Riding Hood and Other Fairy Tales

  • Running time: approx. 80 minutes, suitable for 3+

Follow Little Red Riding Hood into the forest to meet her Grandma, Goldilocks on her quest to find the perfect bed and porridge, The Gingerbread Man and his escape to freedom, and Jack meeting with an angry giant at the top of the beanstalk.

Favourite Classics – Pinocchio

  • Running time: approx. 120 minutes, suitable for 3+

Join Pinocchio on his journey to become a ‘real boy’, follow The Wind in the Willows crew (Badger, Ratty, Mole and Toad) and their story on how friendship can overcome any obstacle, hear how The Railway Children deal with the disappearance of their father and accompany Victorian horse Black Beauty on his adventures.

Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story 2

  • Running time: 27 minutes, suitable for 4+, narrated by Steve Weber

Hear how Woody is stolen by a toy collector and ends up reunited with Jessie the Cowgirl, Bullseye and Stinky Pete. Unfortunately, this splits the gang in two. Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the crew lead a rescue mission to bring everyone back together.

Favourite Children’s Songs: Bedtime Songs and Lullabies

  • Running time: approx. 50 minutes, suitable for 3+

The perfect nighttime soundtrack, featuring 20 soothing songs such as Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, and Baa, Baa, Black Sheep.
