Trio of University Games offerings named Finalists in the Gift of the Year Awards

Leading games and puzzles specialist University Games has been rewarded with a raft of top spots in this year’s prestigious Gift of The Year Awards, following an impressive 12 Shortlisted accolades.

Family games Party Game Night Games Compendium and FiveStar Review, and Case Files lines Death By Chef’s Knife and Murder on the Underground (nominated jointly), were all selected as ultimate Finalists in the Own Brand Category.

Mark Jones, Sales Director at University Games and The Lagoon Group, says: “It is fantastic to see these brilliant lines gaining such industry recognition, especially non-licensed lines that have all been designed and developed in-house by University Games. It has been a great start to the year for our new games, with our Tom Gates Monster Games Compendium also scooping a Toy Fair Hero Award at Toy Fair.

Five-Star Review, a fun-packed family game that launched last autumn, is already proving extremely popular and Party Game Night, which will be on shelves this summer, is certainly looking to follow suit.  The Murder Mystery Case Files range has really gone from strength to strength, with the popularity of murder mystery nights on the increase, and these two Case Files lines allow for single players or smaller numbers to play detective as well.”

The annual Gift of The Year Awards, run by The Giftware Association, recognises the best new products in the industry. Live judging of the Shortlisted products took place at last week at Spring Fair where the Finalists were selected.
