Flair GP kickstarts Meet Messi campaign

In celebration of the return of the popular Messi collection to the Flair GP portfolio, the team has unveiled details of its SS22 campaign in which one lucky fan will have the chance to win a trip to meet the football legend Lionel Messi.

The campaign launches in March, in conjunction with Match of the Day and KICK! magazines. Entrants will be invited to apply online throughout March and April with the winner being announced in May.

Also supporting the campaign will be a series of YouTube videos, including an appeal by youth footballer and YouTube star Tash Baller, as well as parental outreach – all designed to spread the word about the competition and the return of Flair’s Messi Training collection. Plus, football fans can expect to see more digital activity, as well as pre-roll and game advertising to promote the new collection.

The competition offers fans the chance to win a priceless “Meet Messi” experience that will include an all-expenses-paid trip to Paris, where he/she will meet Lionel Messi. The meet and greet day will be confirmed later in the year (restrictions permitting).

The Messi Training collection comprises balls and accessories designed to hone football skills. Recognisable branding and professional training methods and equipment are at the heart of the brand, helping to inspire kids to train harder and smarter.

Iulia Toader, Head of Marketing, Flair GP, says: “This SS22 activity echoes the successful campaign that Flair ran for the Messi collection in 2019, when one fan won a trip to meet Messi in Barcelona. This once-in-a-lifetime experience was highly sought-after and significantly highlighted the Messi collection to kids.

“Paired with all the additional activity that we’ll be running for the Messi range this year, we’re confident that the collection will continue to be a go-to range in the outdoor category. We can’t wait to kick off the campaign.”
