Barbie and Mondo partner on new ‘clean beauty’ role-play make-up line

For the first time, Mondo Toys and Barbie are venturing into clean beauty – cosmetics containing ‘green’ ingredients – with a sustainable line inspired by Barbie to help children have fun at playtime.

The new range includes a Barbie’s kitten bag concealing a pink lipstick, a Barbie-sized backpack that turns into a cool bracelet for kids containing three compact eyeshadows plus lip gloss, and an LED light-up ice-cream shop that becomes a make-up case with lip glosses and compact eyeshadows.

Each product in the Barbie roleplay and make-up by Mondo is designed incorporating the “clean cosmetics” philosophy, developed and adopted by leading cosmetics companies to offer products that are 100% safe for children and adults, made using organic materials and ethical processes focused on environmental sustainability. All items are vegan and have been developed with cruelty-free ethics in mind, and therefore do not contain any materials derived from or tested on animals. The packaging is also made in accordance with FSC certifications, which guarantee that the suppliers’ forest management is in accordance with civil, economic and social responsibility criteria.
