The LEGO Group celebrates 20 years of Harry Potter with UK-wide treasure hunt

This November, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of LEGO Harry Potter, The LEGO Group is inviting families to join a UK-wide Magical Mystery Hunt for the brick-built LEGO Ford Anglia, which has mysteriously vanished somewhere in the UK.

Taking place across London, Edinburgh & Cardiff, each city hunt will start at a 3ft Gold LEGO Harry Potter Statue, from where families will follow and solve clues to unlock three secret words. In a race against time across the cities, find all three words to reveal the location of the brick-built LEGO Ford Anglia – whoever finds it first will win a magical bundle of LEGO Harry Potter. Anyone living outside of London, Edinburgh or Cardiff can enjoy a virtual experience with the same prizes up for grabs. Visit the LEGO website to load the digital magical map and solve the mystery.

“There has certainly been some magical meddling going on across the UK, with our golden Minifigures scaled up 25 times and hidden UK-wide for families to find,” says Leonora Lennie at The LEGO Group. “Whoever has hidden the LEGO Ford Anglia has done a very good job – we can’t find it anywhere so we’re calling all witches, wizards and muggles UK-wide to join in at a city near them, or online, to help us track it down and bring it back safely!

“We want all families to be able to experience this regardless of where they live, so with our immersive digital offering, they can virtually travel around the UK and join in the LEGO Harry Potter Magical Mystery Hunt.”

The treasure hunts will take place from 6–7 November and will kick off at Gold LEGO Harry Potter Statues placed in each of the three cities.
