The 2021 DreamToys list of predicted top toys for Christmas will be unveiled in full on Wednesday, November 3rd, the Toy Retailers Association confirmed last week.
Just as was adopted last year, in the face of the government restrictions and safety measures taken amid the pandemic, the TRA will continue with the format change of 2020, with a preview day to be held on Tuesday, November 2nd and all information embargoed until the following morning.
“During the height of the Pandemic, the DreamToys committee took the decision to restructure the annual DreamToys event to fall in line with Covid-19 regulations and to explore the economics of the event in a difficult time for all businesses,” said Gary Grant, chair of the DreamToys committee.
“After positive feedback and widescale press coverage, the committee has decided to continue with the new format, inviting journalists to a preview event in London, with coverage embargoed until the following day where we will announce the list across social media, TV and radio.”
DreamToys 2021 will take place at Fora Space, Spitalfields, with more details to be announced in September.
In other news, the Toy Retailers Association has also announced that Del Crookes will be stepping down as director-general of the association, and will be replaced by Natasha Crookes on October, 13th 2021.
