Character Options has hailed its virtual kids’ influencer event, Character Kidz Big Weekend its biggest and best to date, having witnessed the three day virtual event ‘create a huge buzz’ across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram earlier this month.
Junior content creators across the social media stratosphere reviewed some of the firm’s key new lines, all of which are due to arrive in store this month, with views still climbing towards the end of last week. Items being showcased included Little Live Pets, Piggly the Walking Pig, Gotta Go Turdle and more.
The event, running from August 6th to 8th, saw over 80 videos created, each highlighting the new toys, while live-time social events for ChillFactor, Mash’ems, Moonshoes, GLO-Up and Squeakee Dino drove the engagement and interaction.
In addition to over five hours of YouTube content, TikTok and Instagram were the places to see shorter form content further ramping up the views and reach of the campaign. As reported by the firm last wee, over 3 million Instagram impressions, 5 million TikTok views and 2 million YouTube views have now been clocked up across the platforms.
Jerry Healy, Character Options’ marketing director, commented: “The pandemic encouraged us to take Character Kidz online in 2020 and after the success of that event we are delighted to say this year’s was even bigger and better with TikTok really adding to the mix.
“It takes months of preparation, but these talented youngsters support us all year and we were delighted to bring even more to them in their own homes this year. For us it’s a kick-off to the new season and a base from which all our online activity and PR will start.
