Craft Buddy joins Toymaster and AIS buying groups in commitment to UK toy retail scene

Craft Buddy has detailed its intentions to establish ‘a commanding presence’ in the UK’s arts and crafts market, having joined the Toymaster and AIS buying groups as listed suppliers in a show of commitment to the country’s toy retail scene.

Craft Buddy is keen to maintain and strengthen its relationships with retailers on the continued success of its Crystal Art range.

“Several Members were already stockists of Craft Buddy, so it seemed only right that they joined Playroom (AIS) as a Cenpac preferred supplier,” said Rosie Marshall, head of toys and children’s gifts at Playroom (AIS).

“This last year has seen growth in Craft activities and their product range suits our broad and diverse range of Members.  As one of the largest multi-category buying groups we can support Members with products such as this that often cross over into both children’s and adult gift.

“We are delighted that Craft Buddy will be exhibiting its new products at our Toy & Gift Show on the 14th and 15th September 2021.”

The rise in popularity of at-home hobbies fuelled by the pandemic of the last 18 months has helped Craft Buddy to an ‘exponential rise’ in sales across its arts and crafts portfolio. The firm is now preparing to live stream a new product showcase this week, with retailers able to tune in on Friday, August 13th from 3pm.

The showcase will also provide participants with an exclusive sneak peek at the company’s new Christmas Crystal Art collection including new cards, notebooks, canvas kits and more.

Craft Buddy will also have a presence at this year’s Autumn Fair from September 5th to 8th where attendees will be able to experience first-hand the company’s new festive Disney Crystal Art collection and get a first look at a new Paint By Numbers brand which launches later this year.

“It’s great to see Craft Buddy becoming suppliers of both Toymaster and AIS in 2021,” said Gary Wadhwani, co-director of Craft Buddy.

“This announcement represents a natural retail progression for the demand and appetite we have seen for our ranges and we continue to be here to support retail as much as we can. We very much look forward to working with Toymaster and AIS as we continue to develop our Craft Buddy and Crystal Art brands.  We have several exciting announcements to come during this year and next so watch this space!”
