A staple of the tabletop gaming scene, Z-Man Games’ Pandemic is making its first move into licensing, striking up a partnership with World of Warcraft to deliver a plague tackling board game that will strike at the heart of fans the world over.
The upcoming title WoW: Wrath of the Lich King was teased earlier this week by Z-Man Games as the first officially licensed Pandemic System game – tabletop games that use the gaming systems from the popular Pandemic board game series.
Previous titles from Z-Man Games to use the Pandemic Gaming System – the system at play in the Pandemic or Pandemic Legacy titles – include Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu and Pandemic: Fall of Rome.
Very few details have been shared other than a teaser trailer that offers just enough to tantalise the gaming community the world over at what the partnership has to offer.
The keen-eyed among you will notice that the trailer does offer a glimpse of the game board – a rendered map of Northrend) and a collection of miniatures. On first glance, the game looks set to feature various World of Warcraft heroes, including Thrall, Sylvanas Windrunner, and Varian Wrynn.
Z-Man Games is remaining tight-lipped on further details for now, but has teased that more will be revealed soon.
