Kind + Jugend outlines mission to ‘restart the baby and nursery industry’ with September trade fair

A Special Edition of the baby and nursery trade show, Kind + Jugend is on a mission to ‘restart the industry’ with a physical fair to welcome around 250 German and European exhibitors, that will be further enhanced by digital elements while navigating coronavirus safety measures.

Koelnmesse, the organisation behind the show, has stated that thanks to progress being made with vaccinations across Europe, as well as the gradual lifting of travel restrictions, has led to a significant increase in interest in business trips and trade fairs.

“The industry is missing its annual get together in Cologne,” said Oliver Frese, chief operating officer of Koelnmesse. “Together with the participating companies, we are convinced that the restart in September will offer the industry important impulses.”

A survey carried out by Koelnmesse has revealed that around half of the dealers it works with from across Europe are planning to visit the show when it opens this September, a measure, it states, of the trade’s interest in participating in trade shows once more.

Companies that are unable to attend the fair this year will have the chance to present their companies through Kind + Jugend’s Remote Booth Plus programme, a system in which stand staff will take care of each respective company’s own products to ‘guarantee direct contact with the industry.’

The Kind + Jugend “Special Edition” will be staged in Hall 10 in compliance with all Corona regulations. To this end, Koelnmesse has developed an extensive package of measures under the name #B-SAFE4business, which will govern the interaction among all people present at the trade fair.

The Kind + Jugend trade fair is scheduled to take place from September 9th to 11th this year in Messe Cologne, Germany.
