The Got2Glow Fairy Finder enables kids to magically collect and nurture virtual fairies, new from WowWee!

WowWee lifts the lid on boundary-breaking tech toy Got2Glow Fairy Finder

WowWee, the global toy manufacturer behind the hit Fingerlings brand and My Squish Little Dumplings has lifted the lid on its latest innovation – a new tech toy that combines discovery with nurturing play – the Got2Glow Fairy Finder.

The new launch will see children track down the more than 100 virtual fairies to collect in the Got2Glow Fairy Finder jar, available in three different colours and each with more than 30 fairies to find per jar.

To play, kids simply open the heart shaped lid on their Fairy Finder and watch as a fairy light show is activated and a virtual fairy finds its home inside. Once they close the lid, the fairy becomes their ‘Fairy Friend Forever.’ The product will encourage children to scour their homes for fairies in their bedrooms, in the dark, outdoors, or even upside down.

“With the Got2Glow Fairy Finder, we wanted to create the most unique toy and play experience that allows kids to feel the magic of finding, and interacting with fairies,” said Sydney Wiseman, VP of brand development and creative strategy at WowWee.

“We tapped into our WowWee tech roots to bring these virtual fairies to life. Initial reactions to the toy have been incredible, and we love seeing kids’ imaginations run wild as they search all over for fairies as well as feeling their parents’ excitement around a toy that keeps them engaged for hours. We’re so excited for this launch and can’t wait for children everywhere to experience the magic.”

In addition to catching fairies, kids can also interact with the fairies in their collection through the buttons on their Fairy Finder’s screen, giving them hugs, feeding them, and even saying hello through the heart shaped door. The fairies inside will interact and say hello back.

The icing on the cake, according to the firm, however, is that by placing two different jars lid to lid, fairies will fly from their original home to their new one, allowing for sharing fairies between jars. The function will allow kids to keep their original fairy in their collection and add a new one from the trade.

Another way for kids to grow their collection is through secret codes. Special fairies will be released on specific days and holidays, and codes will be released on social media to reveal these fairies in your jar.

The Got2Glow Fairy Finder also has a free accompanying app, Find My Fairy, which kids can view the entire collection of fairies that exist and use as a virtual checklist. They can also see each fairy’s unique appearance and learn fun facts about them.
