Sales hot up for Vivid Goliath’s The Floor is Lava with numbers already outpacing last year

Vivid Goliath has witnessed ‘huge growth in sales’ this year for its latest children’s playground activity-turned family gaming title, The Floor is Lava, having seen a spike driven by the game’s latest celebrity Instagram endorsement.
Launched for autumn/winter last year, The Floor is Lava was well-received across its retail channels. However, Vivid Goliath has since seen the game take things up ‘another level’ this year, with sales already surpassing last year’s performance, and strong listings for the coming A/W season already in place.
During the same period, the game has become the number one selling game in one prominent toy retailer, according to Vivid Goliath.
Things heated up for the game further still when last weekend the reality TV star, Billie Shepherd shared a video of her two children, Nelly and Arthur, playing the game at home via Instagram Stories to her 2.3 million followers.
Vivid Goliath has also credited the popular Netflix TV show of the same title for bringing further awareness to the concept.
“The Floor is Lava game brings to life the traditional playground favourite, turning every floor into an exciting challenge, with action cards to vary the play each time,” said Vivid Goliath’s marketing manager, Ben Hogg.
“Sales are continuing to rise outside of the peak sales period and the organic celebrity endorsement we are seeing come through is testament to how much fun families continue to have with the game.”
