AsmoFair to make fourth return this June as Asmodee and Coiledspring Games ready latest launches

Asmodee and its sister company, Coiledspring Games, are to host a fourth edition its virtual trade show, AsmoFair, scheduled to run this June 6th to 11th. The virtual event is to make yet another return following the success of its previous run in January this year.

AsmoFair became the first virtual toy industry event of its kind last year, when the Covid-19 pandemic had forced in-person events to postpone. It took its online platform up a gear when it launched its biggest edition to date in January, bolstered by the introduction of a virtual walkthrough tour.

Just as in previous editions of the show, visitors to the June edition of AsmoFair can head to to book meetings with Asmodee’s friendly and knowledgeable sales team for a guided tour through the stand as they are introduced to some of the games specialists’ most unmissable products for the coming months.

Among the major new lines at which AsmoFair visitors will get a sneak peek is a new range of licensed Dobble editions spotlighting some of the world’s biggest football clubs. Special Manchester City and Chelsea editions will be on show at the event, with more club licenses soon to be announced alongside them.

With the Pokémon Trading Card Game still performing incredibly strongly in its landmark 25th anniversary year, attendees will get a look at the upcoming Sword & Shield – Chilling Reign expansion, which continues to explore the game’s dynamic new Single Strike and Rapid Strike mechanics.

Meanwhile, retailers will get the opportunity to discover Ansagrams, a quick-fire quiz game with a wordy twist – the latest hit board game from creator and BBC Radio 1 DJ Matt Edmondson.

Asmodee’s sister company, Coiledspring Games, will be showcasing its hero range, containing million-plus bestsellers. These family-friendly champion titles include household names such as Kingdomino, Qwirkle and King of Tokyo. 2021 sees a modern new design for Anomia, the game where common knowledge becomes uncommonly fun.

The hero range is complimented by an extensive Schmidt jigsaw catalogue featuring licenses from Disney, Schleich and Playmobil, and Wrebbit 3D lines including Harry Potter and Game of Thrones.

“We were delighted by the overwhelmingly positive response to the January edition of AsmoFair,” said Anil Boodhoo, national channel director at Asmodee UK. “Our team has come together to create an experience that really is the next-best thing to attending a trade show in person, and we’re excited to step things up once again to give retailers a valuable first look at some unmissable products.”

Kerrie Corrigan, general manager of Coiledspring Games, added: “We’re looking forward to reconnecting with our valued retailers. Our permanent display fixtures in the office allow us to provide the very best experience, showcasing our hero products and brand-new releases, including Schleich jigsaws and Wrebbit 3D puzzles.”
