The Entertainer has kicked off a new campaign to celebrate the as yet unsung heroes of the pandemic – children. The campaign launches in recognition of the character that UK kids have shown, from helping their siblings with school work, to running errands for the elderly neighbours.
The initiative took flight yesterday, April 28th – coinciding with National Superhero Day (did you wear your cape?) with the unveiling of a £5,000 giveaway in which 250 child heroes will win a £20 voucher to spend in The Entertainer.
The campaign will even offer one winner a VIP shopping experience with Batman.
‘Children have been unsung heroes of the pandemic and The Entertainer, the largest family-owned high street toy retailer in the UK, is looking for children who have been particularly big superheroes during lockdown,’ read a statement from the retailer in a press release issue yesterday.
‘From helping their younger brothers and sisters with school work or supporting an elderly neighbour with errands, lockdown has brought out even more kindness in children across the country.’
The Entertainer is encouraging customers to enter the competition online via The Entertainer website, where they can nominate their child superhero during the pandemic. The competition will run from April 28th to May 12th.
